How to Clean a Sticky Bra (and Make It Last)
A sticky bra loses its grip when the adhesive is covered in skin oil, lint and makeup, not because it's worn out. Clean it after every wear and it will keep sticking for many more.
How to clean a sticky bra
- Warm water: run lukewarm water over the adhesive side only.
- Mild soap: add a drop of gentle, unscented soap and rub in small circles with your fingertips. No sponges, brushes or nails.
- Rinse: rinse until the soap is gone and the adhesive feels tacky again.
- Air dry face up: leave it adhesive side up somewhere clean. Don't towel dry and don't use a hair dryer.
- Store with the film on: once dry, put the original cover film back on and store it in its case.
How to clean adhesive push-up inserts
Same idea: rinse the adhesive with lukewarm water, air dry face up, and put the films back. Veluna Pop inserts are reusable for 40+ wears with this routine.
What not to do
- Don't put it in the washing machine or dryer.
- Don't use alcohol, harsh cleansers or hot water.
- Don't store it stuck to itself or without the film.
When to replace it
If it still won't grip after a clean and full dry, the adhesive has reached the end of its life. That's the time for a new one. Our 2-packs and bundles mean you always have a fresh one ready.
