How to Keep a Strapless Dress Up
Constantly hitching up a strapless dress ruins the night. These fixes keep it where it belongs.
1. Get the fit right at the top
The bodice should be snug at the top edge. If you can fit more than a finger in, have it taken in.
2. Add grip
A thin line of body tape along the inside top edge keeps the fabric against your skin.
3. Ditch the sliding strapless bra
A strapless bra has to fight gravity with its band. A sticky bra doesn't have a band, so there's nothing to slide. More in sticky bra vs strapless bra.
4. Fill the bodice
An empty bodice slips more. Adhesive inserts inside built-in cups fill it out and help it stay up.
5. Do the test
Arms up, sit down, bend forward, dance for thirty seconds. If it moves, fix it before you leave.
